Total Chaos

Thirty years ago in Pomona Valley, California, was the birth of Total Chaos. Created out of the desperate need to save a dying genre of punk rock, during a time that the market was saturated with a more commercial new style. It was more important than ever to express their social and political views. The idea of social responsibility was a significant thing, from organizing peace punk picnics, to protesting against the gulf war, their music had a meaning and stood for something. Over the years, the band has seen many things come and go, but they have stuck to their original ideals. Whether you are pop punk, street punk, hardcore punk, straight edge, political punk, goth punk, skate punk, crust punk, metal punk, or whatever box they try to put you in, Total Chaos unites you all into one scene: PUNK ROCK!

Motherfuckers

If you were ever a punk rocker in Alberta, you’ve probably seen the Motherfuckers whether you wanted to or not. From their humble beginnings opening $5 hall shows to their long-standing residency at the dearly departed Castle Pub, these guys have been a Calgary institution for the last 25 years. Despite numerous line-up changes prior to 2012 (9 “ex-members” at last count), countless setbacks and a steadfast refusal to do anything the easy way, the Motherfuckers now have an 12 year running line-up that contains 3/4 of the original group and continue to provide their fans with relentless, hard-hitting punk tunes. Their recorded output (Three full-lengths, a four-way split, two EP’s and some compilation tracks) runs just over an hour and a half, and their live sets promise a night of fast paced, frenzied, in your face punk rock. Since 2008 the Motherfuckers have toured between British Columbia and Quebec 5 times, making friends, winning over crowds, and leaving a trail of spilled beer and poorly printed t-shirts in their wake. In this time they’ve shared the stage with everyone from Wesley Willis and Thor to the Planet Smashers, Dayglo Abortions, Dwarves and countless others. Whether they’re playing a community hall, a hot dog restaurant or the hottest nightclub in Medicine Hat, the Motherfuckers provide an experience that won’t soon be forgotten. In 2023 the Motherfuckers celebrated their 25th anniversary with the release of a new LP (“25 Years” on Wasted Wax Records) featuring a mix of new material and out-of-print classics. They also made their first journey into Atlantic Canada, playing a series of shows in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick with Ottawa punks B.A.L.M. Squad. In 2024 the boys show no signs of slowing down. They just completed a 10-day trek across the prairies with Toronto legends Random Killing and have more shows on the horizon.

B.A.L.M Squad

A 5-piece tour-de-force post/dark street punk band from Ottawa, ON with uncompromising views and a dynamic sound to provoke mindful aggression.

Plëzher

Plëzher is a female-fronted punk band from Amiskwaciwâskahikan, treaty 6 territory (Edmonton, “Canada”). They crack the whip at colonialism with their hard and fast songs and their poignant feminist/anti-fascist lyrics. Snarled over machine gun drums and the thunderous attack of two bass guitars; an evening with Plëzher will bring you to your knees.
