VERTTIGO is a Canadian dream pop project based in Edmonton, AB. Drawing influences from new wave and shoegaze artists of the 80s & 90s, VERTTIGO has carved out a niche all their own. Led by charismatic vocalist Karímah, VERTTIGO’s live show has been described as “enchanted”, “magnetic”, and “haunting”. Aesthetically, VERTTIGO is inspired by the darker side of the human condition and reflects on the notion that collectively we are in a constant spiral of love, death, loss, and rebirth… we are living in vertigo. Bands that are comparable stylistically include: Alvvays, Slowdive, Cocteau Twins, and Beach House.
