Shred Kelly
Shred Kelly
Soaked in electric crescendos and folk tinged sing-along anthems, Shred Kelly is known for their high energy live show that ignites dance floors with their alternative folk sound. Over three albums and countless tours, the five British Columbians have developed their signature sound by taking inspiration from the mountains they hail from and the people who inhabit them. Shred Kelly has seamlessly fused traditional instrumentation with modern rock, presenting a sound that is both unique and compelling.

Shred Kelly has produced their most ambitious project yet with their fourth album Archipelago. The collaborative song writing of Tim Newton, Sage McBride, Jordan Vlasschaert, Ty West, and Ian Page-Shiner have pulled inspiration through individual experiences and musical influences. The result is a dynamic and cohesive collection of dreamy, yet explosively exciting songs dipped in themes of relationships and the world in the modern age. Using traditional instrumentation at the base of the songwriting, the album explodes into a symphony of sounds incorporating banjos, ukuleles, synthesizers, guitar hooks, harmonies and pulsing beats.

Their high-energy sound has allowed them to perform at many Canadian and international festivals, such as: NXNE, Reeperbahn, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Breakout West, Riverfest Elora, Ottawa Blues Fest, Shambhala, Evolve, Tall Tree Music Festival, Keloha and Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival.
The group has also achieved a growing list of awards and recognition; five Kootenay Music Awards, one Western Canadian Music Award, over one million spotify plays, CBC recognition and media attention in Canada, USA, and Germany.

Band Of Rascals
Band Of Rascals
“Nuts and bolts rock ‘n’ roll” is how to describe the dynamic fusion of explosive drums, driving guitars, and inimitable vocals that is Band of Rascals. The Victoria, BC based four-piece has quickly established itself as a major force in the Western Canadian music scene; the result of an overwhelmingly successful year of sold out shows, multiple festival slots and the release of their critically acclaimed self-titled debut EP.

Blending elements of hard-hitting modern rock with the vintage aesthetic of southern blues à la Kings of Leon and the Black Keys, Band of Rascals has created an evocative sound, captivating audiences of all ages. This distinct sound is matched only by their electrifying live performance. “I was absolutely blown away the first time I saw them,” said Dylan Willows (festival promoter and radio personality). As word of their energetic live performance spread, the band soon found themselves performing in increasingly larger venues to accommodate the exponential growth of their audience. The band’s captivating live show soon gained the attention of multiple radio stations, including modern rock station The Zone @ 91.3 who named them their first feature band of 2015.

Even after the tremendous success of their debut year, the band feel as though they’re just getting started. “The response we’ve had so far has been insane,” reflects lead guitarist Malcom Owen-Flood. “It’s shown us that this is just the beginning.” This holds true as the band continues to break new ground, performing in front of constantly growing audiences and new markets, writing new music, and pushing the boundaries of what defines modern rock. With their music currently seeing sales across three continents and counting, the band strives to keep pushing forward and continuing their impressive upward trajectory.
The Denim Daddies
The Denim Daddies
Born out of a drink at a dive bar in Edmonton, Alberta, The Denim Daddies are a shot of the ol’ outlaws attitude mixed with the modernism of alt-country and a splash of the Nashville sound, all glassed in the classic sound of a traditional 3 piece band. Their songwriting blends politically and socially charged themes with simple, down to earth lyrics, which are layered atop intense and intricate parts with tight vocal harmonies and a rippin' rhythm section. Blurring the lines between country and rock these dance floor troubadours are embracing the resurgence and new sound of modern country music. From dirty cowboy bars, to hipster juke joints, to sweaty basements, The Denim Daddies appeal to every country music stereotype.
