Folk metal masters Tengger Cavalry will be unleashing their latest album Die On My Ride June 2 via M-Theory Audio. Check out the lyric video for the title track above.
“Die On My Ride is a rather different album than all of our previous releases,” says frontman Nature Ganganbaigal. “This album reaches a more personal place for us. We discuss personal struggle surrounding identity conflicts, racial discrimination and individual freedoms. I think an important part of existing in modern society is learning to accept one another for who we are and embrace our differences, and to look beyond that to find a deeper connection between each race or ethnic group.”

Ganganbaigal continues, “Musically, I intentionally tried to incorporate more clean vocal choruses, semitones and western minor scales, rather than stick just within our traditional Mongolian folk style. We also incorporated piano to add a more emotional element to the songs.”

Tengger Calvary will be embarking on a tour with Felix Martin beginning June 3 in Montreal, Quebec. Helsott will jump on for several shows beginning June 18 in Vancouver through June 23 in San Francisco.

“After so many months off the road, hours and hours of recording in the studio and many intense rehearsals, we are so excited to finally hit the road and raid with Felix Martin and Helsott!” Ganganbaigal exclaims. “Helsott is amazing – they play European-influenced pagan folk metal, and Felix Martin is an absolutely skillful progressive-influenced metal/rock act. We’re stoked to play many songs from our brand new album and also to have these awesome fellow world/folk music artists out with us!”
Felix Martin
Felix Martin
Felix Martin, an ambidextrous, Venezuelan-born guitarist who moved to America after winning a scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee School of Music.
Felix is pushing music into new boundaries by mixing Metal with different styles such as Jazz, Progressive, World, Latin, Fusion, etc. Although his style is mostly called Progressive Metal, he is often cataloged as Jazz Metal, as he sometimes writes straight ahead Jazz mixed with Metal.
Felix uses his self-designed 14-string guitars, which are two regular guitars in one, standard guitar. Felix created a completely new way of playing the electric guitar by performing simultaneously with two of them as if was one guitar. This opens up a new and hidden world of the electric guitar. Felix pioneered this style of playing at the age of 13, and as of 2014, he remains the only one in the world who plays this way.
Felix and his band named under his name has shared the stage with acts such as Steve Vai, Mike Portnoy, Tesseract, Scale the Summit, Devin Townsend Project and have toured most of North America, South America and Europe.
