Funkanomics
Funkanomics
Juwee, FxFarmer and Bobby Kudlicz: the three headz from the south of Germany, who launched the project Funkanomics in late 2006, have since then been touring extensively in the club scene. They have taken their beat contoured live experience and mixed it with their own funked up style in their productions. A sound that is designed for the dance floor and made up of beautiful crunchy bass lines, coupled with pumping grooves. A merger that works and once it starts can´t be stopped.

In their sets the "Funkos" impress by presenting their sound on four turntables plus a very own live set including breakbeat with influences from hiphop, funk, dope beats, reggae and electronica. They go against the grain of conventional djing so smoothly, that you only have to listen to it once and its inside your head. As a result the crowd is instantly whipped to a frenzy with an imaginative and more approach to dance not confined to one genre.
Nada Deva
Nada Deva
Uplifting melodic sounds with dark deep bass. Nada Deva (pronounced "nah-dah-DEA-vah") is the producer/dj duo from Edmonton, Canada. Nada Deva has been a staple in the Edmonton's underground scene for at least a decade. Playing many underground hall parties and clubs. They currently have an annual residency at Astral Harvest Music Festival. Over the years, they have put on many successful events as the legendary Zodiac Series. Mixing light and dark forms of deep house, nu disco, and garage, you can stay up to date with their sound through their "Bliss Sessions" mix series.
Kali Yuga & The Genesa Project
Kali Yuga & The Genesa Project
The dynamic, audio/visual coupling of The Genesa Project (Tanner Berry) and bride-to-be Kali Yuga bring together a very unique flair behind the decks. With high energy and love for the community, they have been making great strides within the Calgary electronic music scene.

The Genesa Project is a duo of doers. Based out of Calgary, AB, Canada, our project encompasses a wide range of ideas and ventures, including local event promoting, stage design, music production, and video podcast hosting. Our first local event was held in 2011; a small, intimate venue with a modest turnout. Since then, our project has snowballed, gaining momentum with opportunities to work with and perform at a number of western Canadian music festivals such as Astral Harvest, Motion Notion, Inshala, and FozzyFest. Through our local event series, we have brought artists such as Mr. Bill, Govinda, Defunk, Mochipet, ill-Esha and Starkey to our Calgary based scene. We strive to provide a different kind of sound to our local area; what many might consider to be "out of the box". Our goal is to always have multiple live musical elements within each show, including live instrumentals, drums and vocals. As of 2015, we have had the chance to team up with Astral Harvest Music and Arts Festival as their official Calgary promotional affiliate.

You can expect our live performance to be high energy and interactive, engaging the audience through wild movement and ecstatic drive. The music we play moves us, and we want nothing more than to move along with our crowd!

Through our event promotion, we have developed a passion for elegant stage design. For the last year,we have had the opportunity to work with Beama Visual Environments, who are the video mapping masterminds behind Shambhala's Fractal Forest, Pagoda, and Village stages. Working with them has provided incredible insight into original stage design and set up, as well as learning what it takes to really draw a crowd in, visually and energetically.

Our video podcast project, The Genesa ThoughtLab, kicked off in January, 2016. We have hosted artists such as Defunk, Longwalkshortdock, Frequent and Evoke in our first run of episodes. With topics and guests ranging from music, local artists, activists, and fellow promoters, we have the ability to present ideas and subjects from an unimaginably broad spectrum of beautiful humans.

It should also be noted that 6 out of 5 dentists recommend The Genesa Project to promote a healthy smile.
